Fine
Lines
A long-lasting approach to erase the effects of time and the elements.
Sun. Age. Stress. Improper nutrition. Genetics. Each can create changes
in the texture and pigment of your skin leaving lasting imperfections
that can affect how you look and feel about yourself.
Combining revolutionary technology with her highly-skilled technique,
Dr. Gertzman can erase these imperfections to improve your skin's
health, tone, and texture and boost your self-esteem and well-being
-- by eliminating:
Fine Lines, especially around the eyes, mouth, cheeks and forehead
Wrinkles on the face, hands, and neck
Freckles created by the sun or genetics
Scars caused by acne, illness, or injury
Brown Spots on the face, chest, and hands due to aging or sun
damage
How does medical laser treatment work?
Medical laser treatment is a safe, highly effective, non-invasive
procedure that uses the power of light to stimulate collagen production
by your own body's cells. This allows your skin to microscopically
remodel itself into a smoother, fresher, healthier appearance. Each
treatment takes approximately 15 minutes, and it is recommended to
do 4 to 5 treatments, spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart. You will see continued
improvement in your skin for months after your treatment is completed.
The Sciton® Profile Laser MicroLaserPeel, also called
the "weekend" skin peel due to its short healing process,
is a partial-to-full epidermal peel that removes the outermost layers
of the skin, revealing smoother, vibrant, more even-toned skin. For
your comfort, the procedure is performed with a topical anesthetic.
Each MicroLaserPeel treatment takes approximately 30 minutes, and
healing time varies from 3 to 10 days, depending on the depth of the
peel. At the completion of the healing period, results are immediate
and dramatic.

Hair
Removal
Removing unwanted hair quickly, gently, and permanently.
Women and men have long endeavored to find the most effective way
to remove unwanted hair. For some, it's a matter of convenience. For
others, it's all about self-esteem: excessive, unwanted hair can create
embarrassment and a poor self-image.
While shaving, waxing, depilatory creams, and electrolysis have been
helpful tools in the pursuit of hair removal, medical laser treatment
has proven to be a faster, easier, more effective solution that can
offer permanent results.
Using the latest advances in non-invasive medical laser treatment,
Dr. Gertzman removes unwanted, unsightly hair and helps prevent
it from regrowing regardless of your skin color or hair. The
treatment ultimately leaves you with a smoother appearance wherever
you desire. Virtually any area of the body can be safely treated with
this laser.
How does medical laser treatment work?
Medical laser treatment is a safe, highly effective procedure that
removes unwanted hair using the gentle power of light.
During the treatment, the Sciton® Profile laser cools the
skin to ensure your comfort. The laser's light is scanned across the
desired area, then absorbed by hair follicle, creating a build-up
of heat which damages the hair shaft and follicle; this causes the
hair to fall out, as well as reduces future regrowth permanently.
Since the laser can target a large area of follicles at once, treatment
is quick and effective.
The Profile laser is appropriate for all skin and hair types, since
it does not target pigment. This virtually eliminates the risk of
hyperpigmentation commonly seen with lesser lasers.
Treatments, time and cost vary with body area. Patients typically
require 4-8 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart. Dr. Gertzman will create
a treatment schedule customized to help you achieve the best results.
Note: For the more sensitive patient, a topical anesthetic cream
can be provided.

Sun
Damage
An effective way to repair the ravages of the sun.
Before the long-term effects of the sun were known, preventing exposure
wasn't a priority. Now, in addition to the health risks, we know that
avoiding the sun's harmful rays is one of the most important ways
to maintain a smoother, more youthful appearance. But for many, the
damage already has been done.
In fact, excessive exposure to the sun accelerates the common effects
of aging, creating unflattering conditions such as:
Course, dry, or leathery skin
Excessive freckling
Skin discoloration such as sun spots (lentigines)
Pigmented lesions
Redness caused by rosacea, a condition that is characterized
by persistent facial redness resembling a blush or sunburn, with small,
yet visible blood vessels on the face
Using the latest advances in intense pulsed light treatment or IPL,
Dr. Gertzman can repair the effects of sun damage virtually
erasing skin discolorations and improving skin texture to create a
smoother, vibrant, more even-toned appearance.
How does IPL (intense pulsed light) treatment work?
IPL is a safe, highly effective, non-invasive procedure that uses
the power of light to remove sun-damaged skin layer by layer, revealing
the healthy, flawless skin beneath. The result is a decrease in the
appearance of blood vessels, redness, and sunspots, as well as improved
skin texture and tone. Improvements are visible within days, and results
are long-lasting.
Note: For best results, Dr. Gertzman advises you to avoid sun exposure
prior to your treatment.

Spider
Veins
Reducing redness and spider veins to restore your skin's natural color.
One hallmark of aging and sun damage is the onset of spider veins
and other skin discolorations. Affecting both men and women, these
unsightly conditions are typically found on the face, neck, chest,
and legs, creating an uneven complexion that is difficult to camouflage.
Combining revolutionary technology and refined technique, Dr. Gertzman
can erase these imperfections and restore your complexion, creating
a younger, more natural appearance by treating the following conditions:
Spider Veins, most often found on the face and legs
Facial Veins
Redness
Broken Capillaries
Telangiectasia, a group of dilated small blood vessels seen
under the skin's surface
Rosacea, a condition characterized by persistent facial redness
resembling a blush or sunburn, with small yet visible blood vessels
on the face
How does medical laser treatment work?
Medical laser treatment is a safe, highly effective, non-invasive
procedure that uses the power of light to gently eliminate the redness
of broken capillaries and other visible vascular structures from your
skin's surface.
The Sciton® Profile laser delivers a beam of light directly
on the area of skin being treated. These laser pulses are absorbed
by the unwanted vessels so that blood can no longer flow through the
vessels. The body sees them as non-functional and resorbs them.
All areas of the body can be treated, including the face, neck, chest,
and legs. The procedure is done in 15-minute intervals.
