What can I expect at my dermal filler treatments?

Dermal filler appointments are typically quick and straightforward, often taking 30-60 minutes depending on the areas treated.

Dr. Gertzman carefully injects small amounts of filler into targeted areas using a fine needle or cannula. Many fillers contain lidocaine (a numbing agent), and a topical numbing cream may also be applied to keep you comfortable.

You can typically resume your daily activities, though you may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites. These effects are temporary and usually resolve within a few days.

Results are visible immediately with hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvéderm, Restylane, and RHA. Depending on the product and area treated, results can last anywhere from six months to over a year. Sculptra results appear more gradually over several weeks as collagen production increases, but they can last even longer.
